We are preparing programs that will provide young people with a deeper experience of Serbian culture, summer camps, educational workshops, cultural tours, meetings with experts of Serbian origin and much more.
The goal is only one: for every child to know where they have a home, even if they live on the other side of the world.
The process is straightforward and completely transparent. Applications open once a year and are reviewed based on program alignment, educational or cultural purpose, financial circumstances, and availability of resources. Special consideration is given to children with disabilities or special needs.
Parents or legal guardians submit an application describing the child's interest in educational and cultural experiences related to Serbia, along with relevant travel and family information. Applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
Applications are reviewed by Mileva Project based on program criteria, including: educational or cultural purpose of travel, program alignment, financial circumstances or demonstrated need, availability of program resources, special circumstances, including disabilities or special needs. Resources are limited, not all applications may be approved.
For approved applicants, Mileva Project coordinates eligible travel assistance and may work directly with families and travel providers to help arrange airfare and related travel logistics.
Children and families participate in meaningful educational and cultural experiences connected to Serbia, including opportunities to engage with language, history, traditions, family, and community.
