Many Serbian families grow up far from their homeland, and children often know Serbia only from stories. Mileva Project gives them the opportunity to get to know it as it should be, with heart, sight, and embrace.
The Mileva Project is growing step by step, with purpose, patience, and full transparency about where we are and where we're headed.
Right now, our mission is simple and focused: we buy plane tickets so children of the diaspora can set foot on Serbian soil. For many, it's the first time they'll hug family they've only known through a screen, walk the land of their grandparents, and feel, not just hear, what it means to be Serbian. Every ticket is a bridge between a story and a memory. This is the heart of everything we do, and it remains our priority today.
As our community grows and we reach the milestone of welcoming 500+ children to Serbia each year, we will open the next chapter. Phase Two is about giving children more than a trip, it's about giving them an experience. We will organize programs for the children who travel to Serbia: time together, shared learning, and activities that deepen their connection to language, culture, and one another. A flight brings a child to Serbia. A program helps Serbia stay with the child for life.
Every donation today moves us closer to both phases and to the day when every child of our diaspora can know exactly where they come from.

The project was started by people who themselves grew up between two worlds, between the diaspora and Serbia. Those who know what it means to connect a life built far from the homeland with what awaits here. Mileva Project is named after a woman who is a symbol of love, sacrifice, and belonging.
